Diving Loch Ken
Has anyone dived in Loch Ken which is north of Dumfries. I have noticed that RIBs can be launched there but havent actually seen the place. It is a Lake or Inland Loch

It does not look very deep on the OS map.

its an inland lake with a river running in and out of it as far as i can remember but ive never dived just fishing

I went fishing there years ago, if memory serves correctly, and that's a big IF, it's peat stained and the trout are very dark in responce to this! I have dived similar locations and by 4/5m it is pitch black, can't even see daylight.

I have not dived it, but HAVE canoed across it.......it was stained with peat - viz would probably be best measured in mm's
