Identify a Plymouth reef - Hillsea Point maybe?

I was down in Plymouth last weekend, and just got around to doing my logbook. Problem is, I have no idea what the second site we dived was, and it was really nice so wanted to try to work out where we were, other than i've had one suggestion of Hillsea Point, but from one description (a tunnel somewhere?) it doesn't sound like where we were.

It was a dive coming back from the Persier back into Plymouth, where we dropped in on top of a kelp-covered pinnacle (only ~6m below the surface), and dropped down the side. Heading South-East (I **THINK**) we went down the side and got to 20m which very gradually sloped down to a max depth of around 25m. Just off the side of the pinnacle, when we reached the bottom, there was a narrow sandy "road", with rocks either side, which we followed. Not much kelp down the bottom, but it was very pretty, lots of stuff on the rocks, quite a few fish, and the occasional dogfish. After a while of drifting slowly the rocks levelled out to a fairly flatish bottom, although it was always a bit rocky and didn't just turn to sand or anything.

Does this sound anything like Hillsea Point? Its the "sandy road" bit that I think might hopefully ring a bell for someone. If not, any ideas what site it was? We were diving with Dave off Amoco, if anyone knows what sites he usually dives after the Persier than that might help?

Cheers

David

Well Hillsea would be a fair guess, and I've only done the swim through once in 3 time, so it's easily missed.

If it was Hillsea, then if you had gone the other direction down the "sandy road" you would have come to the swim through.
But it does sound as if it was Hillsea point, especially the depths you describe.
Don't suppose you noticed the transits before you went in? Coffin Shape rock on the hillside is one of the transits I use.
