Question Diving North Wales

Hi,
Are there any shore diving spots around Liverpool Bay / Colwyn Bay area.
Looking for an afternoon dive, but don't want to drive to Anglessey.

Cheers.

I thought so.
Went to Colwyn bay a few months ago, didn't dive though. Must say, it didn't look too promising.

Cheers anyway.

Wot he said... the shoreline is far to shallow and featurless until you get further west toward Anglesey and beyond, not sure about Great Orme though there maybe somewhere there, I read about a couple of kayak divers doing it but I think there are some serious currents to contend with.

Wot they said!

Best shore diving at the moment will be around Treardur/ Porth Dafarch area. The whole of the area you were initially thinking of will be plankton soup at the moment. The whole of Liverpool Bay round to Benllech on Anglesey is fairly shallow for MILES out so warms up quickest and gets hit worst with plankton.
Good news is the Jellies have arrived to chomp the stuff
ATB,
Terry

Edit: Around the Orme the vis will be NIL! It's in the middle of the area above with Constable Bank to give it a right good stir as the tide flows over it n:

Cheers everyone.
Thought that would be the general reply.
Getting a bit bored with Cap. and the Delph, well enough said.
Will have to make a whole day of it and go out to Treardur.

Are there any shore dives in the area round Abersoch to Portmadog. Basically south of the Lleyn Penisula. Could be used when there is a northerly wind.
