Question Sea Temp - PorthKerris

Hi Everyone,

I have posted previously about diving in Cornwall. We are probably going with PorthKerris Divers but I was wondering if anyone knew the sea temperature around that area?

Many thanks,

Dodgiesgirl

I was down there 10 days ago and the sea temp was hovering around 10 degrees

Try - UK Underwater Visibility Reports

OR, try a Google (UK only) search for SEA TEMPERATURE AT PORTHKERRIS - I was too lazy to look at any of the answering "hits".

Sea temp is being strange at the moment:

Last week I got 16c on 2 dives locally, even at depth I got 12c.
This week I got 14c on one and last night I got 11c on a site not far from POrthkerris!

Bloody cold.

Temperatures are nowhere near where they should be, I have been recording anything from 13 on a shore dive to 10 down deeper.

Right that's it, I'm stocking up on my thermals - I've seen 'Day After Tomorrow' (or whatever it was called).

Brrr.......

Thaks everyone for that. I went diving in Guildenburgh recently and it was 13C there which was too cold for me so I'm not sure about going in Cornwall.
