I was up there last weekend and did the Glanmire twice. First time Viz was around 7 mtrs ish the second time at least 10mtrs. genearl viz around the usual scenic sites was about 6 - 7 mtrs, reduced a bit on Sunday when the swell built up.

Viz reports today of the boats is 5-6mtrs. Haven't spoken to any shore divers, but, the guys who were in last night were saying much the same.

It was about 7-8m on Black Carrs, but a bit dark due to the mist blocking much of the sun out.

Talking

Turns out the viz was around 5 - 8m. As for the mist, well that didn't bother me 'cos I wasn't planning on diving on the surface
Haven't got a clue where the boat dropped me for either dive and TBH, I don't really care. I could hear the bubbles and feel the sea on my face- that's good enough for me
The weather during the surface interval was fantastic, toasty hot and got my face crisped cos I fell asleep in the boot of my car
Met up with a load of old faces that I haven't seen for a while and had an absolute scream in the car park cafe. When did they open the new cafe by the rib slip? The staff in there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy friendlier than the original cafe AND they have seats inside for a cold day. The scones weren't as good but hey, you can't have everything
Topline, skippered by Paul, was great as usual, and amazingly, there were actually some choccie digestives left for me when I came back onboard Would have liked to have got a bit of depth but that was unsafe for either Topline of the divers on board due to the mist. Still had two cracking dives though, and the good lady and myself went home very happy.
p.s. Apologies to anyone who was passed by a volvo missile yesterday morning on the A1, but I did oversleep
