    Boats in Seahouses

Will any of the boats in Seahouses take bookings from individual buddy pairs, or do they restrict it to block charters?

We've just booked a week in July at the Seafield Caravan Park, and we have a load of ready-made babysitters on hand to look after the kids, so Jayne & I liked the idea of getting a couple of days diving in during the week.

    Any contacts would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Richard

    Hi Richard

I'm not sure about taking buddy pair bookings, but there are plenty of us about uf in this neck of the woods. Why not post the dates you are visiting and see if we can rustle up a YD gig? I can do mid-week as long as I know in advance to book the leave off.

    Cheers

You'll be lucky to get any places for July as most of the skippers get well and truly booked up in advance for the Summer. However, if you can handle a last minute chance booking you would be better off leaving it till a few days before you want to dive, if you are thinking of a Saturday/Sunday bimble. Most groups/parties who book will be letting the skippers know of any cancellations they have by then (or perhaps a Thursday evening) and you may strike lucky.

If its an evening dive and midweek then you'll have more chance and I'd be up for that as I only live 10 minutes from Seahouses.

If you want phone numbers of the usual skippers pm me and I'll send you them.

    All the best..........Graham

Give Graham, the skipper of Moby a call, he can often sort you out when no one else can.

Details here as an attachment, 2nd post down.

    Thanks for the replies all.

The dates we've booked are 18-25 July.

The slight problem we face is that we're with the kids, my parents-in-law & another family, so we wouldn't be able to dive on 2 consequtive days, as they'd want to do stuff themselves (Bl***y families getting in the way of diving )

What I'd though about doing was leaving a couple of days in between to keep the peace with the otehrs!!

Might leave it until nearer the time & see what's available.

I'm considering going to the Lowick holiday park as part of the Sun £9.50 holiday deal thing. Me and SWMBO did it last year up to Auchenlarie in Dumfries, it was superb!

Lowick looks to be around ten minutes away from Seahouses.

I had no problems with a buddy pair in the middle of summer with Glad Tidings. Huuuuuge boat with a lift.
