Steve,

My friends just came back from the Oyster on the same itinerary we did.

They sent me a pic of a pair of Oceanic white-tips - no mistaking them.
Apparently some of the divers got nudged by them a few times and had to make a hasty exit...

Fiona, did you take the picture of the curious night dive worm thing in April, if so can I have a copy please and did we ever find out what it was??

Two! Wow...awesome !! But in all honesty even as an avid shark fan I'd have my heart in my mouth getting nudged by one of these - even though they've only been implicated in one non-fatal attack on a human (several decades ago), it's believed they're possibly responsible for undocumented attacks on survivors of shipwrecks.

Fi

These piccies are great, the trick is not to show anyone the rubbish ones! I just delete them really quickly and only show people the best 10%!

Love the shark!

Pity I couldn't turn the camera on quick enough when I jumped off the dive deck to be confronted with a very big White Tip swimming under the boat.
I have the P10 - and thought you couldn't change the white balance manually - except for the 5 presets.. - tried all of these and my piccies still came out green (Scapa). Hence my v. recent thread about the olympus 5060..

this is an OWT

BTW what package do you use to play with your pix? Andy P gave us all an UW colour correction plugin for Photoshop, so if you use PS then give this a whirl, gets good results, here's what it does to your sleeping shark pic
pretty neat treatment eh?

Ooh.. ooh. where did you get the UW colour correction plugin from? That sounds extremely useful!

photoshop underwater action file..

All,

The undereater action file worked (for me) in PS 6, but not in PS 5.5 (at work).. so set about trying to find how to record the same type of thing.. found some excellent information here: http://pt010.da-kine.info/adjustments.htm.. So recorded my own version.. works a treat!

I'd include the action file I wrote here - If I could find it!!!
