| What camcorder are you thinking of Kirky? I'm looking at setting up video as well, but my mind changes on the camera from one day to the next. David |

All the mini-dv cameras produce excellent quality. The main choice to make on the camera front is the number of CCDs, single chip (cheap) or 3 chip (expensive). I have heard some people claim that single chip cameras are better underwater but comparing the results from my Sony single chip and Panasonic 3 chip, the Panasonic has much better colour. |

| Out of interest what's it like doing the "underwater video thing" in the UK? I have just started and bought myself a Gates housing for a Sony PC105, but living in Grand Cayman i don't need lights, and i suspect it is a little more simple than trying to shoot video in the UK. I have done alot of diving in Scotland so am aware of the vis issues and darkness, but how does it affect the end result with regards to your video (especially the vis?) Also does anyone here use the Underwater Kinetics HID torch as video lights, if so what do you think of them? Cheers - Bob |
