| While on the subject of RAW, all the photoshopping in the world is going to be of no use if your monitor colours are off. There are a number of systems that can be used to correct this, from simple testcards, to sophisticated calibration spyders. Has anyone any first-hand experience of using any of these, and can I use one system for PC and laptop monitors? David |

| I have seen them but don't have one at the mo. A friend calibrated my laptop using a spider. The problem you have between a PC and a Laptop is that a PC is often a CRT or other where as the laptop is LCD and they have different settings. Infact PC and MAC have different LCD settings as well. I quite often notice this when showing pics to people off a cd on their PC laptop. You are right and do have to do colour calibration between camera/computer and especially printer...that one in particular can REALLY drive you mad. Perhaps someone can recommend like David suggested? |

| BOLX...you donīt have to shoot RAW, infact you donīt have to do anything. Take lots of piccies, make mistakes, learn, then shoot again. Frame your shot, shoot on the lowest quality. You donīt need an external flash. Take piccies for you. Pete |

| I have a 5060 and have just got back from holiday where I put it through its paces for teh first time - is there a way of stopping the camera turning itself off after a few moments of inactivity - it seems that any time anything good happens the thing has shut down!

| I don't think so, at least I've not found it on mine. I tend to flick the shutter know every now and again to 'keep it awake'.
