some results Well got back from a great week on Typhoon in the Red Sea. Its a superb boat, lots of room for 20 guests and a very good crew. Two English dive guides who let us do our own thing but had a pretty good attitude towards safety. Attached, if I have pressed the right buttons, are a couple of shots from the Thistlegorm. When I get organised I will stick a few more in the gallery. Settings ended up being a complete guess since the camera electronics packed up. Simon Last edited by SimonK : 19-11-05 at 12:07 PM.

Ah, grain like golfballs and more atmosphere than a town centre night club! I told you those locos were worth a shot or two! That pic is worth investing some time in. Thanks for posting! Oh - and assuming it wasn't the batteries - when my Nik V electrics went I was told it was a flood and full set of new internals required, but a company called KMR Photographic Services sorted it for the cost of a new circuit board! Number I have for them is 0845 658 8805, and I think there's a link on the Cameras Underwater site, Mike.

More pics inb the gallery Some more in the gallery under Red Sea 2005 My Nik V packed up, a small leak and some corrosion. The shots were taken using an ancient and battered Nik IVa on manual. End result the good shots have poor exposure and the crap shots have good exposure.. ho humm Nik V now in a thousand bits on the table, you wouldn't believe how many small screws there are inside! Tommorows challange is put it all back together again. The curse of being an engineer, as much fun taking the camera to bits as looking at the pictures. Simon

Hi Simon, When my Nik V died I found a full set of Nik V disassembly/assembly instructions on the net and downloaded them- turned out to be the official Nikonos service manual. If you want the file pm me. Personally, I bottled out of taking a screwdriver any further than the interior liner, at which point I decided it didn't look flooded and sent it to someone with insurance to finish the repair! Mike.
