Divemaster Insurance will insure cameras... cant remember the URL off the top of my head....

Question What's the best Method of Insuring your Camera & Housing?
What do you think is the best way of insuring your camera and housing? Should you simply add it to your household contents insurance or go for a dedicated insurance policy? If its the latter, any suggestions of a good company please?

My own house contents policy covers my diving gear if used in UK waters, but I've yet to ask them about camera equipment. It doesn't cover foreign diving trips.

I have mine as an add on to my Divermaster kit insurance, although when I went to a photography course with New Horizons he did say none of his camera equipment was insured.

It might be difficult to explain to a tick box call centre person how your camera became flooded 55m below the ice off Spitzbergen. These things are just not on their script nor I guess of their supervisors.
Maybe a specialised diving insurer would have a better attitude.

I added mine to my household insurance - cost me £2 a month extra.

I am with Divemaster.Had to claim once for flooded camera and got sorted v.quickly.
Whichever insurance company you go through ensure that unexplained flooding is included in the wording.
