Cool Advice on what underwater digital video camera & housing to buy

Hi There, This is SPORTDIVER here. I am wanting to buy an underwater digital video camera and housing as I would like to make films of my diving and put them onto dvd.

I have done a little research, but have found that it can be extremely expensive to buy all the parts. I am going to Thailand in September and need to buy something by August latest.

I need a price on a camera, underwater housing, batteries, charger and 512mb cards. I have a budget of about £1000, but would prefer to pay less if possible. Would consider buying 2nd hand. Please can anyone give me any good ideas or suggestions on what to buy and where to buy it from.

Thanks......SPORTDIVER.......YD..........

No much chance of kitting up for under a grand.... Youu may be lucky...

You could always try a good underwater digital stills and produce video clips. Edited, the results are not too bad, not as good as true video but gives a good record. It's also a good entry to editing. Good Luck...

Hi there

I have just purchased the new sony DSC T33 with marine housing, used in in Bonaire and it was so easy to use straight out of the box and the pictures were great juist a pity about the operator.
