Not a great shot...but a suprise !

Sometimes you take a shot without knowing the outcome...as with this shot.
I noticed a snout pearing from within a known hole...I couldnīt get low enough to take the shot... I aimed the camera and pressed the button.

Good Shot

It's a terrific photo. Is that a third moray to the side? The fellows almost look like they're smiling for the camera. Ken

wow, i've never really seen a moray's face so clearly before and i've seen a fair few of them but they move so quickly i've never had a good look, and i've always been a little scared of them

first time i looked i thought it was a joke and someone had engraved the faces onto something and put them there. but now i look again they're really actually quite strange - they're like something out of a horror film where a ghosts face appears through the wall or mirror.

the one on the right has really hallowed weary looking eyes and half it's teeth missing and all jagered and the one ont left has really open piercing eyes. freaky!

Thanks for all the comments guys...I thought, or hoped there may have been a third eel, but I reckon itīs more likely to be the body of the eel on the left...
LittleH, your right about the eel on the left, it does seem to like teeth...nice smile though...

I used to take care of Green morays at an aquarium. Once these fellows get to know you they are like dogs. Nice animals. Whenever I looked in on them they would all surface in anticipation of food, or to say hello. The freaky thing is that when their head is out of water their flaccid body droops over their eyes and all you see is a globby head with gnashing teeth as they gulped air. I had a friend get bitten once and I can tell you that it was a bloody mess as he instinctively jerked his hand back. This was with neoprene gloves.
