A Teaser..........
Okay, here are my first attempts at underwater photography. Mike paid me a great compliment when he said he couldn't teach me anything...

The Garden Eels Chris talked about in his trip report, couldn't get any closer as they disappear just like this large round stingray....here one minute, gone the next....

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

A Teaser Part 2..........


What happens when Mike gets the fish bait bag out....



A scenic shot from just outside Mikes shrimp cave....



To show I can do some macro work....

Full report to follow when I get chance to work through the RAW files and put the video together.

Here is a snippet of what the Oly-5050 can do in video mode. This was shot with a Epoque DCL20 converter making it about 17mm, so I was pretty close. In fact they were swimming in close formation under me and I have a shot taken upside down which I couldn't work out to start with when I reviewed the images!!

Eagle Ray Close up - 9MB QT Movie FOr ease of viewing I would right click and 'Save As...' Then open up in either RealPlayer or Quicktime.

Overall I am very impressed with the Oly-5050 and glad I bought it.

Super pics green on its way!

Lovely bit of footage of that ray, am very interested in that as i too have a 5050 but havnt used the video on it....well not intentionally.....got a bit of grainy footage of a huge loggerhead coming straight for me when i was actually trying to get a still pic of it...thought the camera wasnt workin properly till i got out of the water. Plz post more info when u can

Those pics are excellent. The one of the diver hovering above the sand is stunning, and love the use of black and white - very atmospheric.

And the one of the Arrow Crab - seeing his leg trying to touch your lens - it so reminded me of a photo I took in Lanzarote which is almost identical - they see their reflection in the lens and reach out!
