Photography course - AJP

Anyone done this course with them?

I am thinking of doing it as well, but considering just using the money for a few more dives.

I'm a bit rubbish with my camera underwater, and understand the basics of photography.

No clue about digital manipulation.

I've done the course and I would recommend it. It is based on Adobe Photoshop and Heather covers a lot of useful things; the good thing for me was the Heather is not a techie and has obvioulsy picked up all the useful things that an underwater photographer needs to know, this made it one of the best IT courses I've been on. I did it in a group and AJP came up to Nottingham, which was a nice way of doing it. I did know about PS and manipulation before the course, but also came away having learnt a lot. Those that knew nothing before hand really learnt. AJ also talked to me about composition and I think this improved my underwater shots. One thing you do learn is what photos can be "rescued" in PS and which will get binned; this will improve your taking as you'll know that crap going into PS comes out as manipulated crap.

So if you are keen on improving your photography I think this course will be useful and if you are doing it 1 on 1 I'm sure Heather and Alan will custom the course to what you want to know. It's not that expensive and could repay you with great photos.

Rob
