Amphibico Housing Controls - Help !

Help !!

I've just got an Amphibico housing which was made for a VX1, but I've managed to fit a 'modified' sony PD150 camera in it. Now, most of the controls work fine, but I can't get the white balance, iris and gain buttons on the back of the housing to work.

I think the white balance is a non-starter as it appears to be a non standard lanc control, and probably won't work on this camera. however, pressing either the iris or gain buttons gets a reaction from the camera, and switches the controls into a different mode, but then I don't appear to be able to change either the gain, or the iris setting.

Does anyone out there know how the camera should be setup for these to work? - auto iris/auto gain.. whether the buttons need pressing in a funny combination, or whether I should just give up, and let the camera do everything automatically?

Their are 6 buttons in total on the back of the housing
Iris- switches mode, but I can't seem to change
Gain - the same as iris
White Balance - No reaction
Power off - works perfectly
Select Mode - works ok - switches the handle controls (focus/zoom) back to normal after pressing iris or gain
Screen Display - switches on and off the detailed display.

If anyone has used a housing like this before, and knows how the buttons should perform, could they please let me know !!

Thanks

Hi, I've used the Pro CCD housing for the VX1/3. The control on the original camera had to be set to full manual, to get the buttons on the back of the housing to work. I suspect this can't be done with your camera, or it is "wired" differently, so the Lanc won't perform properly....
I usually just used the auto set up for iris and white balance, and just concentrated on the focus and zoom. That seemed to work ok for most conditions, and if you have your hands full, it is the best way to catch the action, rather than spend time worrying about set up.

Hope this helps.
