| As far as I am aware the duo range have a slave sensor built in which effectively dose the same job as the cable. HTH, Cheers, Paul.

| thanks for a speedy reply. there is a sensor at the bottom of the strobe so i guess the strobe is getting triggered via this. will the photos be affected by the cameras built in strobe though. i suppose it is a matter of try and see. if i was using the fibre optic then the built in strobe of the camera would be covered with the black out velcro. so it would only be the ys90 light i n the photos. |

| It is better to use the fibre optic and blank out the strobe on the camera. The camera strobe will give you backscatter and more likely over expose the image with the 2 flashes combined. You have control over the external flash and can vary its output, you have no control over the internal flash.
