| Can we have a few more details please Lee? What software are you using? PS6, 7, CS1, CS2, Elements... What exactly are you wanting to do? Colour correction - The Mandrake Action is a good start. Sometimes a little auto-colour correction after can be helpful if it is a little too red. I'm just repairing my install of CS2 ATM, when finished, I'll show you what they can do. Dom

| If you can post a few on here Im sure we can see if they can be cleaned up. One of the problems with underwater photography is that colour is lost the deeper you dive, if you dont add sufficent artificial light from a flash, or strobe.

| Right, here is a quick example (admittedly near the surface, but I had good results on the red anemone 30m down on Jackson Reef. ![]() Left is the JPG straight from the camera Middle is just the Mandrake I linked to earlier Right is Mandrake and Photoshop's auto-color correction. Dom

| Hi, we have PS8 CS, Image ready is with it i think. i have now got the action from above link ( thankyou ) although i have no idea what to do next. Not done anything of this sort before and would love to be able to sort this myself, ive added a cut down pic below, we were roughly 18 mtrs down, and to be honest i was lucky to get the pic as i was in awe ( only our 2nd dive when we saw this ) biggest thing id seen before was a surgeon fish hehe. I wish to send this pic 1 particular pic onto a friend asap, could someone maybe clear it up and maybe inform me how it was done, what was used/colours/etc etc? it would possibly give me a good heads up on the others i have here. ![]() |

| Im no photographer but I think that photo is really nice. Especially the three really blue fishies in the foreground. I think that really works against the greyscale of the rest of the picture. It works on lots of levels, the shark is perfectly positioned in the centre of the shot and the fade from dark to light (top to bottom) down the photo is cool. Like I said, I'm no expert and as a a layman I really like it. Stu

| That's a pretty good result, I would use the clone brush to remove some of the backscatter. I haven't had a chance to play with the sample you posted yet - but I will have a go. Dom
