Underwater scene modes are fine for close ups in green water & I reckon they will be great in blue water. The problem is they don't allow you to set WB or shoot in RAW mode. I have not got round to using a strobe yet cause I don't have the pennies to buy one at the moment. Maybe Santa will be good to me.

| Have been using mine in Aperture, Shutter Speed and Manual modes - more hassle but more flexibility. Have been using spot focus and centre weighted exposure modes, with ISO speed set to 100 (going to try upping to 200 in UK conditions) Have been using with an Epoque strobe, think it's a 230, manual not TTL Have been using default whitebalance and correcting on PC after, haven't bothered with the shooting a slate at depth thing yet. I was a complete novice at photography, found a good book that really helped "Essentails of Digital Underwater Photg.", try the "underwater bookshop" website (sorry don't have author or URL to hand, search YD for ohter Oly 350 threads, I did post it) Interested to hear if you have any battery life troubles, mine are short... HTH Dave.
