Hope Cove on Saturday

A few pictures from our dive at Hope Cove on Saturday. Yes, two of them are just seaweed (so don't bother looking for any fishies) but it's very pretty seaweed! Getting the hang of this camera lark, slowly but surely.

Oh dear, I'm sorry

So you won't want to hear about the tompots, pipefish, conger, nudibranchs and wrasse that Paul and his mystery buddy (not me) saw at Firestone Bay this morning, then.

Thought not.

It was a Janolus Cristatus, I think.

There was another thing, a sort of taper shape, 3/4 inch long, with circular things on its back.
I was not sure if it was plant or animal, but a gentle prod made it retract a bit.

Janolus christatus - aka the blue-tipped dude

That other thing sounds interesting - can you sketch it?

Ha ha, 'sketch'!, As well as I can sing .

I had a quick go with paint, and came up with this, but it's not very good.

It had a creamy coloured body, and the circles on its back were ring doughnut shaped and darker.
