Recommendations for Digital camera

My 1 1/2 YO FujiFilm F810 camera has started giving me "Zoom Errors".

Apparently, it will cost me £175 to send the camera back to Fuji, who may or may not fix it!

Anyway, for £25 less than the repair cost, I can buy a new Fji F11...

But are there better cameras out there for around the £200 mark? (and if you can get an U/W casing, that would be an advantage!)

Cheers
Andrew

OK, looking at the Digital Depot site, they have the Canon at £349.99 and an Oly Mju 700 package at £323.99

Advantages of the Oly are that I can use my existing xD cards from the Fuji...

Is the Canon a good enough camera to say "stuff the cards, get the Canon"?

Don't know much about either model. However, what I will say is that my 18 month old Olympus 5060 developed a fault. So I sent it back to Olympus and they repaired it free and gave me a new 6 month warranty even though the warranty had actually expired.

I use the Fuji F10 (same size as F11), Fuji do a housing, so do Ikelite, Fuji do a cheap tray, arm and strobe. Ikelite do everything.

I currently use the Ikelite housing with 67mm adaptor to fit 67mm lense to.

The F10/11 are brilliant in macro, there are loads of photo's in my gallery, and quite good at WA. I know you may not feel happy with Fuji, but I have abused and dropped my camera for a year and it is still in perfect working order.

I bought a Canon S70 off eBay for £170 including P&P but they usually go for about £200, I was lucky. It is a great camera and has the advantage of being aboe to take pictures in RAW mode which means you can do more post-processing with your pictures. You can also buy a housing for it, Canon do one, WP-DC40, there's one on eBay for £119. I'm sure there are other brands available, possibly Ikelite.

Cheers/Nic

What size XD cards do you have?
I'm guessing you can fit SD and/or CF cards in the Canon - these can be purchased really cheaply (£13 for 1GB SD) and I know with my Oly camera, it can only take a maximum of 512MB XD cards - just as well really as a 1GB XD card is a darn site more expensive than SD/CF cards.
The only problem of course with cheap cards is that they are slow to write to.
Just thought I'd add to the confusion!

Martin,
From memory, I have a 16MB, a 128MB and a 256MB xD card at home... (maybe 2 256 and no 128?)
