Wreck photography

Being the proud owner of an Oly 8080 is one thing, being the proud owner of the Oly housing and waiting for the port to fall off is another.

Did it fall off? Not on it's own...
you see, I'd been having problems trying to take piccys of wrecks, not enough light...too much backscatter and so on, so I thought I'd try a tripod.
Nipped down the shop, bought a standard tripod attached it to the housing & it looked the biz.

1st attempt: The camera & tripod kept trying to float away.
Sol: Lead blocks duck taped to the legs.

2nd attempt: Overweighting was pain in the arse on the surface & diving, but worked a treat when set to take photos. Problem2: trying to line camera up exactly without looking at small screen.
Sol: Duck tape & a UKQ40 boresighted(aligned) on the surface.

3rd attempt: worked a treat on longer exposure settings and 'nightshot'. Got some great shots of German MBT's. Problem3: Knocked tripod & housing over in excitement of pictures & smashed the housing!!

Conclusion:Looking for a new housing.
