Smile Camera housing

Hiya, i'm new to this game, but I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that could point me in the right direction.

I want to upgrade to a digital camera for taking on holidays with me and just have my 35mm for playing about with (to be honest i've never quite got the hang of it!)

I've been given an Olympus C5050 and well i'm having abit of trouble getting the housing for it (I know it's been discontinued for a while now and that the Ikelite has also gone). Does anybody know of websites/shops that could possibly have any (except ebay, i'm already watching that one)?

Thanks

i see this is your first posting, welcome to YD.
This would probably be a good place to start.
Cameras Underwater Homepage: Underwater housings, stills and video cameras, accessories.
Although they list the housing as discontinued they are always very helpful and may be able to point you in the right direction.
Good luck

hello siren29 .. have managed to get a housing off e.bay..patience and a huge slice of luck ( something i have v.little of !) played a part, i logged on and happened to find one at buy it now so didnt hang around.before this i had got local jessops to see if they could get one, they said they had a few in stock though i seem to remember the price was steep..but if the camera didnt cost much / free....may be worth a try, just be wary of shops who say they can get them but havent actually got them in stock ,one left me waiting and waiting and waiting....good luck!!

its a great site for people doing photography in temperate water. They are having trouble with the site being hacked at the moment so it doesnt look as good as it normally does but have a look round and introduce yourself. You will find lots of useful info on there as well
