Wink Photoshop on the cheap

I'm new to digital photography. Could anyone advise me on the best (ie cheapest) way to aquire photoshop? Or is there better software?

There is an open source photo editor called GIMP which is free and might do what you want. Google will find it. No problems with bootlegging either!

For most practical purposes, Photoshop Elements - £50-ish - is pretty much as good as "full" Photoshop (arguably better at basic photo editing, and has MOST of the bells and whistles there too). Worth considering.

Photoshop elements is really good, I use this for lots of things not just photo editing.
