Question Camera memory

What's the best place to buy bigger memory cards. I've just realised my camera has a lowly 64mb one! A 1Gb card is £80 in argos.

I think it depends on the type of card. I use XD cards and found Amazon and buymemorycards.co.uk to be the cheapest at the time.

There are also loads on ebay, and some are even from UK companies.

Found these in a digiatal camera mag. Try

Warehouse Express Online

or

Digital Depot

or

Memory - Memory card - Buy at the best price

or

ebuyer.com - Peripherals Flash Memory

Have actually used Ebuyer, very good prices. But I'd only buy what they have in stock as delivery times for out of stock items is a bit hit & miss!

I dunno whether it will be very important to you, but you should be aware that the write times are not the same on all cards and you may need to bear this in mind when making your choice. The write time tends to be a factor when you are taking continuous shots and together with the processing speed of your camera and the resolution/format will determine how many frames per second it can capture. Don't confuse this with the video function that your camera may have as this is usually at lower resolution so that the bottle neck doesn't come into play.
