What setting(s) do you use?

I've got an Oly C50 (which used to belong to Scuba1) and currently I use it on his 'My Setting' because I figured Mike'd have it set up correctly for underwater photography. I don't know what information he's chosen for his setting, but it seems to work pretty well for the photos I've taken.

I know very little about photography, and I was just wondering what settings other people used. I've had f-stops etc explained to me but am having trouble working out which is the best setting for basic snaps of fishies/anemones/starfish. I'm not after any fancy effects at this stage, because I'm still getting used to the camera, and I'd rather not have to faff about underwater changing the settings.

Thank you

We had to leave him Paul's camera in exchange!
