its called a pencil

and you need to run the copy program in your head to make it start. :-)

There's one i've got called dBPowerAmp which does it (search for it and you'll find their website). Not brilliant, definitely noticeable that you've done it, but its likely to be about as good as you'd get without original multi-channel recordings (I was doing it from an MP3).

Download virtually any karaoke creator and it will have a tool for removing the lyrics from a song.
