Sipadan Photos

Taken me a while to get around to processing these, but here are a few snaps from some dives I did in Sipdan, Borneo, August this year.

The full album is here, along with some above water shots.

I'd recommend Sipadan to anyone who likes reef diving - the amount of life was just amazing

Dave.

Some lovely photos there Dave really nice ones of the Jacks where your closer in amongst the shoal and the bumphead parrot fish
You probably cant do anything about it, but I think its a shame the caption is actually on the photo, tends to detract from the picture at times.

How are you viewing them Jane? If using the slideshow, move your mouse over the photo, should bring up a control bar at a bottom, with a link titled "hide captions".

Dave.

Hi Dave,
I was there at the end of August, had a fantastic time as well, definately the best place I have dived, unfortunately the viz wasnt so good when we got there, just caught the tail end of that typhoon. Lovely pics brought back great memories thank you

Very nice indeed. Brings back some fond memories. Just checking my log book and it was way back in Nov 98. Good to see that the life is still bountiful!

Cheers all

Kev, best not to count how many years ago anything was these days I find Don't know if the lkive there is as good as it once was, the coral is nothing to write home about for example, but the fish + turtles....

Kathy, thanks, I'd like to think it has anything to do with me getting better at U/W photography, but to be honest there was so much life up s close in good viz that a blind man could have taken as good pics...

I'll go back and have another try one day for sure

Dave.
