Sony P93 - Any good?

Ok my old digital camera has packed up and gone in the bin. I would like to replace the only U/W camera I have (a regular film job with 15m rating) and I need the digital one to flog stuff on ebay

A friend of a friend is flogging a Sony P93 with u/w housing (40m) for 200 quid. There is no flash (strobe if you must) but I assume these are interchangable just like for surface cameras?

This is not my area of expertise by any means so I welcome your views oh great wise sages of the YD massive...

Ta very much

Chris

Hi there,

I am using the P73 which is the precessor and uses the same underwater housing. So far I am more than happy with the pictures and found the internal flash to be sufficient, at least for macro shots in the Red Sea and clear waters here in the UK.

If you are more ambitious and aiming at photography in murky waters than a strobe would come in handy.

Hope that helps,

Tewes

TeddyDiver saw the sea in a book once
If the price is right... I'd pay from 100 to 150£ max if needed one more...
