Cheap is NOT an option!!! Or so I've been finding out. I do have a thing about making things work though, so with that in mind and the fact that I'm pretty handy on a lathe, I 'set to' making a housing for my tired old panasonic DS50 out of an old CO2 fire extinguisher. Bought a light set up from Pro watt in the States. (bulky and none adjustable) But all said and done it works and I've got some half decent shots and more not quite so decent stuff. Technique is the biggest thing in video me-thinks. You could spend £6000 upwards and still come back with a scratchy sample shots of mud and silt.
I'm happy and it's watertight to 32 (or that's the deepest I've been without any signs of implosion) I'd love a light and motion set up like my mate John, but I do have other things to spend money on. Not to mention I like the challenge of manufacture and development. Next project...... a moon rocket (NOT)

Steve.
