Thumbs down Nikon d50 + ikelite housing system

any other Nikon users out there???? if so let share tips and tactics.

Heres a conversation starter.... how anoying is it that the focus menu resets itself whenever it feels like it..... good unit with a seriously silly flaw.

comments anyone...

Post I'm heading in the same direction - slowly...

Hi,

I'm working towards putting my D70 in a housing. I picked up an early model Ikelite housing fairly cheaply on Ebay. Now I need to get iTTL electronics installed in it and start saving up for a DS125. So, hopefully by next year it'll be ready for action.

I've not noticed any AF problems on my D70 so far. Any chance you could describe the problem so us simple folks could understand and I'll try it on the D70.

Ta,

Keith.

focus issues with D50

having asked around several professional land lubbing d50 users i find this is the case across the board. If you go onto the focus menu and choose your focal option.... dynamic, single area or whatever(the other escapes me at the mo) lets say you choose dynamic focus area..... the d50 has a habit of reverting back to the default/random focus setting of its own accord... nothing to do with AF, merely the focus point selection.

Ive spoken to Nikon and am awaiting an answer.....

so d50 users be warned... b4 u take the money shot... check ur focus point or it may not come out quite as planned.
