Been using this service for a couple of years now, service has never been short of excellent, the uploading speed has also improved recently which certainly helps. Look out for the offers they do on larger prints from time to time, I had a 30 x 20 done which only cost £6. For smaller pics their print credits work out pretty cheap.

Best wishes
John

I ordered a load of Christmas Cards from Photobox and I'm disappointed to say that the printing wasn't good. I called them up and they immediately said that they'd redo them and I could keep or bin the first lot.

Unfortunately the second lot were bad too. Again I called and rather than redo them I asked for a refund. This they immediately agreed to and again I could keep or bin them.

So, my feelings are that the customer service is excellent and I will definitely try again but I'll not be doing cards again.

Has anyone done a photobook? I really want to try that. I also want to make calendars because I quite fancy them too. However I really don't want to have the same experience as the christmas cards.

Working on it, hopefuly it will be good. The desktop calendar is fine but basic.

What resolution / quality were your original images and what size cards did you order? I ordered a test run of some images taken on my D-SLR blown up to 15x12" and the quality was superb.

The images were from a DSLR (Nikon D70s) and were superb in normal print and on screen. The problem is the card printer scratching and smearing the printed cards.

I got my photobook today. I liked the quality of the book, binding and pics. I will use it again for sure but it is a bit expensive. You can not use accents, the font doesn't allow it and messed up some of the names that were printed.

I did the Christmas cards and those worked out well. Looks like they solved the problems that you had. Again the A5 cards were exepensive but thought it was worth it.

I got some calendars done this year mainly to send to relatives and friends I hadn't seen for a while. I didn't know of (or at least notice) photobox's sponsership of YD until afterwards. I chose them based on the product and the price.

I was VERY happy with the calendars! The quality is excellent and they only took 2 days to arrive!!! (Ordered Sunday night, arrived Tuesday!) We've had them done for the previous 2 years by other companies and these were the best by far. I'll definitely be sticking with them next year.

Also did me some favours by a mysterious second package arriving the following week with the same calendars again so I got twice as many HOORAH! Lots of satisfied friends and family!

Reading this thread makes me think I shall have a good look at this in the New Year, as so many people seem to be using their services i do hope YD are making something out of this.
