| Imported post I added my Olympus camera, UW housing and strobe on to my household package - valued at £2000. This cost me about £2 more a month. I had to get them to understand that if I got my hand bit off by a shark, or dropped it into the abyss that I would be claiming. They were Ok with this as long as i extended my outdoor accidental loss bit for no extra charge !!!! I use Direct line.

| Imported post <font color='#0000FF'>Sam I also use DiveMaster insurance for all my dive kit, they do camera extentions to that. Covers everything. I have only ever claimed for a dive computer which was dealt with very quickly, I was surprised when they beleived my unbeleiveable reason for claiming. I couldn't have made it up. FB |

Sitting on the tubes in our club rib on the way back to the beach at Aberdaron, I noticed my computer had slipped down my arm and was only in place due to the lanyard which was attached the those little plastic covers, I released the buckle to tighten it when we hit a wave, my arm went over the side of the rib like riding a bucking bronko and when I looked down all I was left with was the lanyard and the plastic cover. The computer had come off through the velcro fastenings. Believe me this is true. Now I have a new one which as follows: Plastic cover still held on by velco strap but the lanyard is now secured to the strap not the cover. I did also attached a small D ring to the arm of my other suit and clip to that as well. Since changed suits and not got round to belt and braces approach. |
