Help with filters

I'm looking at getting a blue and green water filter for my wide angle lens to help with colour balance before I invest in strobes.

Which filters do you recommend, i've been looking at the UR ones, and where is the cheapest place to get them from?

Thanks.

Tim

Forgot to ask what filter I would need for Cyprus on the Zenobia. Green water or blue water?

Magic filters

I have just ordered some magic filters, everyone is raving about them and thought I would give them a go. They do 3 types, for blue water, green water and Bluewater for compact camera with no white balance adjustment, any how read up on them here

Go for the Blue (Orange) filter for Cyprus, but don't forget that the filter will knock at least one stop of light out.

TBH I've found that filters in blue water are really only of use down to about 25M. In green water, they can be next to useless dependng on viz.

YMMV.

Give Peter Rowlands a call at PR Productions and he'll advise which Magic Filter to use in which waters.

Filters or photo editing software?

I've thought about using filters but what's the point if you can change the colour balance in an application for editing digital photographs?

Doesn't post-dive digital manipulation leave you with more options?
