Question Help - camcorder

Hi

I am in the market for my first camcorder and i need some advice. Eventually I will want to take it underwater so it needs to be one for which there is a cheapish housing. It needs to have good auto settings as I am a numpty with new technology unless it is point and shoot, and I would prefer mini DV. Looking to spend no more than £400. Any ideas, suggestions etc. All contributions gratefully received. Thanks.

Which model camcorder is it? I was looking at a Panasonic and as I am in NY next week I thought I would buy one for the $ price.

hi divein- if your getting a video camera in the US make sure its PAL and not NTSC, sony models with an 'e' at the end of the model number are PAL- which is what you want.

i.e. dcr-pc350 is NTSC
dcr-pc350e is PAL

not sure about other makes of video camera
