Thanks for that, Steve, I jibbed the Shuna dive when I was in Oban- about six years ago IIRC, don't think I missed much!
The Breda is "THE" dive in Oban, if you're a wreckie (and the other one 1 1/2mls SE of it ) The Hispania for picturesque, Thetis for drama... and Scallops... but there's no place like home!

Enjoyed your "freshwater" thread... have you considered lifting the whole thing!
40-ish footer... I'm sure it could be arranged

I think that the Hispania is a far nicer dive than the Breda. On the Breda it can be diver soup with all the dive schools in the area but the Hispania doesn't really have any slack at all so it can be a challenge getting down to it. I felt like a goalkeeper trying to catch the ball (shot line) (grin).

I don't think there is any historical interest in the boat in Ullswater but I still keep asking and am waiting for a reply from NAS. Would be nice if it were.

I just keep plodding on with my sonar and mag and lets see what else I find.

Steve

Hiya, Steve,
The fittings on your wreck don't look "B&Q", every wreck has a history (some more interesting than others) and finding the link to whatever history is there is a big part of the fun! Keep plodding... there aren't that many have the nous to do it.
We dived the Breda midweek in February so it was a bit more civilised than the norm I've heard of ... must have been '99 or 2000 air temp was -15C but water was a nice 6C

Edit: I'm sure your fresh wk looked to have riveted plates on the vid? If so, it has some age...

Do you do much wreck hunting off Anglesey? I live in Wales.
