Another nikon user. they seem to be pretty popular. just changed over from nikon to canon. do you use both strobes most of the time? or singles and available light. sorry for the questions, looking at doing more underwater stuff.

The last reef shark shot was with no strobe at all, but I generally use both. I do swing them about quite a lot during dives though, trying to get the fill-in where I want it. As for the canon vs. nikon thing, I think that canon probably has the edge in the domestic end of the slr market. I struggled to keep up with the focusing speed of the canon users on my last trip. Having said that, I'm used to the nikon set-up, and it seems to work for me. I'm just trying to justify a D2Xs to myself, and it isn't working.

I'd be interested to know what people think of this one. In colour it's a horrible picture, there's so much sand being kicked up it's worthless. I tried it with a sepia filter, and it seems much more forgiving, even in an A3+ print. ![]()

I am no photographer but I know what I like Normally I love your pictures but I prefer the ones that are au naturelle or give the impression of au naturelle. Not from the post processing point of view but from the dive set up point of view. I prefer the pics with no divers but if there are divers then I prefer them to be diving .... not feeding/chumming. The diver in the pic spoils it for me....he's a bit too prominent I fear. That said, the rest were magnificent. Mal |

Wow! Those first 4 pics were amazing. Do you mind if I save these and use them as wallpaper on my computer? I'll have to convince Hubby to splash out on a housing and strobes for our Nikon D80. Bang goes his Rebreather Corinne
