Couple of pics from the Maldives...

Unfortuantely I managed to flood my camera (ok flood is an exageration, a teeny weeny trickly of water got in so I stupidly continued to take pics) on my second day so I've not managed to get any big stuff... gutted especially when snorkelling with a whale shark and diving for the first time with mantas which were stunning

All comments and criticism greatfully recieved, I'm still V new to this!!

Good Photos there.

The only thing I would say is they are generally over exposed a little (especially the clownfish shots).

Sorry to hear about you flooding your camera though. I've read good reports from people sending them back to Fuji direct so maybe you could give that a go?

Had a play with a few of your photos, hope you don't mind.

In the main I altered the levels and contrast then a little unsharpmask to finish in PS CS2.

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks very much Paul The strobe was brand new and I think of hindsight I probably had it up on too high a setting.

I don't think there was a problem with my housing, probably user error more than anything else :unfair:

Your edits are so much better, I'm struggling with Photoshop to be honest! Will try and find the edits you say you used nad lay around a little more. Many thanks

Man, whenever I see photos of the Maldives I just want to get back there. I lived on an island called Malhos (near the Malhos Thilla - good diving spot in North Ari Atoll) for a year in 2003 teaching and it's such a beautiful country.

Yes I was actually.... I have the camera, we took it apart on board the boat but couldn't see any reason for it not working (no water, no discolouration of contacts etc) so quite what has happened I am unsure. We couldn't get it any further apart so I don't really know what to do with it now... any suggestions?
