| Hummmmmm It is a good bit of kit but when I was away I used it on mine, the Ipod had a software problem and promptly lost some of my existing pictures!! Make sure you back the whole thing up regularly and don't use Apple software as you can only sync with one PC so if your laptop goes then you're screwed. Podshare is good to have, look on Ipod lounge.

| Bought one to use with my Sea&Sea DX5000G, but didn't work I'll have another go now I've bought a Ricoh Caplio GX8 for the same housing - strangely it's exactly the same shape as the Sea&Sea DX8000 camera, and fits the DX5000G housing.... ![]() Quote:
One reason for the high battery usage on the ipod is the import software routine creates a thumbnail on the fly as it copies the file to the disk, and this uses lots of power as the disk thrashes away. Using RAW might actually be more efficient, since it doesn't make thumbnails of this format. I've used the import routine with a Belkin media reader and for RAW and MPG files it just displays an icon, but for JPG you can see the thumbnail image. (The Belkin device is pretty good as it supports a range of media, and uses AAA batteries, so you can charge the camera separately whilst backing up the memory card to the ipod) Not sure if you can then playback to TV with the appropriate cable, but I know the first version of this feature actually required you to sync the photos from iTunes before you could playback to TV (due to the different image resolutions for TV output)
