| That's assuming you're using a PC of course, and know how to use the Windows File Explorer easily. (as an IT bod I can safely say some people don't). And there's an easier solution for non-techies in Google's Picasa, which not only hunts on your hard disk for images and manages your photos but gives you some pretty powerful manipulation tools all for free. If you're on a Mac (especially a more recent one) like I am, most of them come preloaded with iPhoto, which allows you to tweak your photos and manage them in one simple place. Does almost the same things as picasa. I only happen to use Aperture because I want some more advanced management features, such as workflow. I tend to also edit using Photoshop, but again, that's a bit more high end than most people want. For basic colour manipulation, white balance management etc.. then Picasa and iPhoto are great starting tools. The biggest problem people have is with uploading them somewhere to allow you to show them off on here. Go to photobucket or flickr, upload your photos, click on one to view it, right click the photo and copy the 'link to the image' and then in your post on YD, click the insert image button (little mountain and sun icon) and paste the link you got previously. Example. Here's one of the photos I have on Flickr. ![]() Its link is; 'http://farm1.static.flickr.com/105/286707167_1b02060499.jpg?v=0' when I right click the image and copy image location. I removed the ?v=0 to leave me with just the filename extension at the end (.jpg) and then it worked. So I just pasted that into the insert image URL box. HTH.
