video Software

Hiya,

Does anyone have or know of a good video software package to use. I take a few videos with my C50-50 (although i'm more into pictures to be honest) but my boyfriend bought a C6 Xcacti for xmas and want's to take videos with that, but the video software that we have is very basic and we want the videos to look a bit more professional than it does with the stuff that came with the camera.

Also we found out that the software that came with the camera has an 'anti-shake' facility on it but after running some footage through it, to be honest it didn't much and the video wasn't all that different. Is there any packages out there that has this sort if thing in it or is it just more of a gimic than a function?

Ta.

I use the Ulead Videostudio10 Plus, it takes and manuipulates footage from cameras and camcorders; its very stable (unlike pinnacle) and extremely easy to use and a bargain at £43.99 from Amazon.

I have the Xacti C5 and was using a USB video capture device that i purcased from Aldi and Windows Movie Maker. The Main problem i had was finding a good editing software that was compatible with Mpeg 4 video files which is how the Xacti range saves the footage. I solved this problem when going for a major upgrade on the home pc and swicthed to a Mac. But in the last 12 months i'm sure they must be something new out there now for window users. All the best and many happy hours of videoing.
