definitely worth trying a specialist firm for that kind of fee

if they're any good - tell us!

and if they're not, tell us so we can avoid em!

£25 - £50 doesn't sound too bad.

Did you try the format recovery option on easy recovery pro, or the deep scan? You'll lose the filenames and details (time taken, etc) but you should be able to get them back with that.

I think I was getting confused with the software I have. I've actually got rescue pro, which is recommended on the Sandisk website, but didn't find anything.

Do you think that the easy recovery pro is worth trying as I can get hold of it??? Will the scan affect any chances of somone else recovering the data if I fail to do so???

I won't be able to post the card till Monday, so thought I could have a go over the weekend.

I would recommend these people
7dayshop.com - Online shopping made easy !
They have some good bargains and are legit. The professional photographer in the office below ours uses them.

Buy lots of cheap cards and use one per dive. Even the medium speed cards are fast enough unless you really do take 3 frames per second - remember it usually takes a strobe about 2 sec minimum to become fully re-charged

Damo,
Can you drop some serious hints as to the website you bought these off, so that others don't make the same mistake?

Andrew

It's worth giving it a go, it's managed to get files back after a botched repartition in the past (after both partitions were then formatted).

Can't see any way it would effect a future recovery effort, it's just reading the card.

Coincidently there's a question about losing pics on memory card..... here

I haven't looked at all the answers but hopefully they'll help you
