Much better than my first attempts!
Glad you and Dave had a good time Davie.

After borrowing a friends camera and housing for a warm water holiday I decided to take the plunge and buy a housing for my own camera and give digital underwater photography a try in the UK.
My camera is a pocket digital one I have had for some time now, its a Sony DSC-P200 and I bought a new Ikelite housing from Brett @ divelife.
I knew my camera had shutter lag and I also knew it doesn't do RAW, I am also not good with image manipulation tools so these shots you see are straight from the camera with the caveat that I have cropped / resized them to 640x480 and reduced quality to allow me to attach them to this YD post.
Constructive feedback please?
Taken yesterday at Furnace in Loch Fyne.

We had three great dives, least I think so :-)
We were Joined by Steve (Hick Dive) today at Kenmore point.
Yesterday we had a girl with us (Jen) who I met on my new year trip to Egypt.
Today we even hijacked one of my fellow club members 4x4's to get to Kenmore point where I got this one:

Along with another few but I seem to have exceeded my attachment quota........
Need to figure out how to fix that....
I got a nice one of Dave showing his near perfect trim while I rolled down the wall face and landed on top of him as he was trying to show me another Wrasse.
At this point Poor Steve (Hickdive) moved off into the green and just pissed himself laughing at my Dive God skills..

LoL yes, its the very friendly Wrasse that follows divers around at Furnace.Originally Posted by yazzyfooty

was a good day out albeit for the force 5 gale blowing...
Rather extreme weather conditions today of the west side of Loch Fyne due to the East wind.
Logic would suggest we chose the East shore for diving, but logic did not prevail.
Chris & Gerry looked mad keen to get in the water…………………..

The entry was a little awash by the side of the pier with most opting to leap from the pier into the choppy waters below.

Once under the surface the swell was soon forgotten about & we dived the B200 wreck.
I got my first picture of a submarine…………………

Hey, good shots there.
Nice colours aswell. The only thing I can suggest is to try and get the whole subject into the frame. Such as the wrasse and the starfish you posted.
Nice detail in them aswell, which you can show better if you uploaded them to a photo/video hosting site such as flickr.com or photobucket.com
Then your free to upload and post as many photos (larger) as you wish.
Great first pics!
Cheers,
Paul
