BlueboxX camera housing

I came across an advert in last April’s Dive Magazine for the BlueboxX camera housing, at 999 Euros (~£680) including a standard port, it seems good value, but I don’t know if I want to trust my Nikon D80 to some kit that I have never seen before. Does anyone have experience both service and quality?

If the response is positive, what would be the best lens/port combination to get?

Thanks, in anticipation of the usual YD response .

Not heard of these before but they look good - and very, very inexpensive!

If you go this route dive the housing without the camera first to make sure it's water tight, and then let us know what it's like.

The only downside I can see is limited port choice?

Thanks for this

Thanks for this; I will think hard about this housing and taking my precious D80 underwater and probably get a compact camera for the immediate future.
