Inon Fish Eye lens @ Vobster...

Spent a most pleasant day splashing about in Vobster yesterday snapping off some photos using my new Inon fish eye lens. All the photos below were captured using manual white balance control (ie. ambient light only) on a Canon IXUS 75 and then enhanced using Photoshop Lightroom (a superb program!)...

On the whole, I'm really impressed by the Inon fish eye lens - it really does transform an instant digital camera into a surprisingly powerful system capable of capturing some amazing photos. If I was to level just one small complaint, though, it would be that it does seem to suffer from a certain amount of light refraction which manifests itself as a weird 'halo' at the bottom of some photos. It's fairly minor and can be avoided quite easily, though...

Anyway, enjoy the photos...

Amazing photos! They don't look real, somehow.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Um, I've dived Vobster on a number of occasions. I never realised the plane was RED!!!! So THAT's what it all looks like down there!

I'll check it all out tomorrow! Bet it looks muddy grey to me?!??!

Fantastic pictures! Wish I knew what you were talking about when you explained what you were using to take them!!!

Great pics Bardo. I've just got an Inon WA myself for the f30 and looking forward to trying it out !

Is that the truck in the top right hand corner looking at the Vobster map? Never been out there before but been over to the Merc (?) and mine truck following the rope out from one of the training platforms then dropping over the side down to 20 something metres. If it is then whats a good route to follow?

Cheers

Graham
