*** October Photo Competition ***

Congratulations go to Purple Vonny for her fantastic dolphin photo which won last month's photo competition.

Purple Vonny has left it in my capable hands to run the October Photo Competition in her absence (well, she's not left yet) and without further ado I bring you:

OUT OF THIS WORLD

(P.S. Just a theme photo, not an early entry ;-) )

Closing date 31st October

We're looking for something which not only looks out of place above water but even looks otherworldly underwater. Case in point, when I took the photo above I was seriously thinking that war of the worlds was about to come true. Extra brownie points if you manage to wrangle in a Halloween theme without detracting from the "out of this world" theme.

Usual rules apply (as blagged from last competition) - No prizes apart from fame. One photo per person with name and short description to follow the theme/brief as suggested by the winner of the previous month's competition. All entries must be posted up in this thread by midnight on the 31st October at the very latest - any entries posted after this date will not be included. All entries will then be entered into a public vote that will run for a period of seven days...

Best of luck to you all.

Great shot Jules, where was it?

Bet you cursed the interloper in the top right though - a candidate to dissappear through the magic of photoshop maybe?

Dave.
