Canon G9

I see the Canon G9 has been released, and it has RAW support. Has anyone had a play with one yet? Comparison with the Fuji 31FD and 50FD here and a review on the same site. CamerasUnderwater are selling a G9/housing package for a touch under £500.

I might see if I can find one tomorow as I had my trusty Oly 5060 nicked a few weeks ago. Strangely enough though, prices of cameras here in Taiwan appear to be a little higher than the an internet deals in the UK.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

Hiya Gareth

Not stricktly a reply to your question; however some issues I have with my Oly SP350 - battery life, time to focus (some compacts can take a couple of seconds) and probably the most important thing is time it takes to save the piccy. Mine is in RAW mode, file size 11.5MB and it takes 8 seconds (so you can't take pictures quickly!) fish don't hang around waiting for your camera to be ready for the shot!

On the reverse side - I had a play with a DSLR - for me it was too big & heavy in the water & ruined the dive. So will have to stick with a compact.
