The setup is a Nikon D80 in an Ike housing with twin Ikelite DS-125 strobes. First two shots are with a Sigma 105mm macro (dive 2) and the rest with the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye (dive 1 - Photobucket uploads them and puts them backwards in order!). All shots are shot on manual, mainly at 1/200th and f8. For some shots I would change either the shutter speed or f-number, but the majority of shots here are 1/200th and f8.

I only shoot RAW underwater, so all photos have been processed using Adobe Lightroom; 2-4 and 6-9 have had virtually nothing done to them other than a bit of extra contrast. 1 & 5 have had the most work as it is difficult not to burn out the underside of a pike, even with TTL strobes set at -1 EV. 2 & 8 are crops, but the rest are as framed in the camera. 5 will get some more processing in PS to tone down the underside, I think this shot is worth a bit of extra work. Generally though these images are probably 95% as off of the camera.
Hope that answers your query,
Rob

Hi Rob
Great shots.
Is it the fast shutter speed that gets the light rays?
Ken

Ken,
Yes - but to be honest there were rays everywhere, just look at Tim's shots from Guildenburgh on Digigreen - he shot them better than I did.

Will do, I should post on Digigreen, sort of forgot about it
I took shots in Bonair at 250s just for the light rays and it didn't happen,
even tried it with the whale sharks in Gos, if I win the lotto I will try again, and take you as a coach honest
Thanks Ken
