| Batteries I finally bought my strobe today. Been looking around for some rechargeable batteries for it. I was wondering if anybody knows a good site to get batteries from. Nothing to exotic just rechargeable AAs Ni-Mh. Maybe even a nice quick charger to go with it. Thanks |

| 7dayshop.com - Online shopping made easy ! is always a sure-fire good bet. If you travel abroad, you ought to think about the voltages for chargers - there's a lovely little Sony charger that comes complete with 4 batteries (and which works "steadily" on both 240V and 110V) - see eg Amazon.co.uk: Sony Power Charger with 4 Ni-MH AA Batteries: Electronics & Photo or http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...archtype=genre - which I've even seen in Sainsburys and in the PCWorlds of this world.

| Ansmann make both very good batteries and very good (intelligent) chargers to go with them. By "intelligent" I mean that they discharge the batteries as well as recharge them and I don't care what you say, NiMH do have a memory even if it is relatively insignificant. Cumulative "hits" on a battery will make that insignificance significant. Ansmann chargers do this completely automatically yet are still pretty quick. The other good thing about Ansmann is that they are fairly reasonable in price, the bad thing about them is that they are not properly represented here in Oz. (but they are in the UK). | The 7DayShop 2800mAH batteries that I have had are brilliant and seem to last much longer than others, like the Energiser ones, before they start to lose their capability. And they are cheap too. Due to the fact that I use an S2 Pro which takes 2 x CR123 batteries, I also get my CR123s from there too as they dirt cheap. £10.99 for 10 versus £6 each in B&Q!!

| I've had pretty good experiences with GP batteries as well, and they are readily available in the high street as well as on line.Go for the higher rating 2700mAH. However, whatever you get I can not recommend Uniross batteries.... the chargers seem fine, but they have a very hit and miss quality of Ni-Mh batteries, some you get can be reasonable, and some are absolute dogs!

| I'm sure you've already checked and it is a new strobe, but make sure it can take NiMH. They give off hydrogen and some strobes aren't suitable for them. |
