Looks like someone definately had a very bad day! I suspect the strobe definately didn't live to tell the tale but then I guess you aint gonna argue with a Tiger shark with an appetite for camera equipment...

Let's also not forget that the bite pressure of a shark isn't that much different from our own so although the shark could easily rip the camera out of your hands and cause some serious damage to the strobe casing, it couldn't crush the strobe as it's mouth simply isn't strong enough. Tigers work by using rapid head movements to 'saw' its victims to peices and without enough leverage and weight behind the object being shaken, it's mouth wouldn't be quite as effective. Still, I wouldn't want to put it to the test! lol

Well when I read it , it was....

Just checked, its still there

At a given moment one of the sharks gets in too close to one of the divers and Jim intervenes. He gives the shark a push with the camera. The tiger shark is not impressed. He grabs hold of the camera and swims aggressively away with it. I am feeling uncomfortable and go through my notrox quickly. Luckily the shark eventually lets go of the camera and swims away. Once we are back on board Jim asks if anyone made a photo of it. I ask him if he's crazy. When I look at my photos that night I realize someone did take photos...
